Fatality Reported in I-5 Hit-and-Run Crash
Tacoma, WA (March 31, 2024) – A 39-year-old man from Temple, Texas, was killed following an Interstate 5 collision early Saturday morning.
WSP officers said the vehicle driven by the 39-year-old man was stopped on the two lanes of the freeway near the State Route 16 interchange. Suddenly, a vehicle driven on the same freeway struck the stopped vehicle and fled the scene.
The driver of the stopped vehicle was killed in the accident.
Officers said they believe the hit-and-run driver was injured as their vehicle was totaled.
Troopers are investigating this fatal crash.
