39-Year-Old Driver Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash on Foothill Road [Santa Paula, CA]

Santa Paula, CA (August 02, 2022) – On Saturday, a 39-year-old male driver sustained fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Foothill Road.

The authorities received the collision report just before 10:50 p.m. west of Aliso Canyon Road.

According to the investigators, the man was driving a westbound 2000 Honda Accord he crossed into opposing lanes. As a result, his vehicle collided with an approaching eastbound 2010 Ford Fusion.

Immediately, the rescuers arrived at the scene and pulled the Honda Accord driver from his vehicle. 

Then, the paramedics rushed both drivers to Ventura County Medical Center where the Honda driver died. Officers say the Honda driver was not wearing a seatbelt when the collision happened. 

On the other hand, the 23-year-old man driving the Ford Fusion sustained moderate injuries. He was wearing a seatbelt and was not under the influence when the collision took place.

Both of the drivers were from Santa Paula and were the solo occupants in their vehicles.

In the meantime, the authorities withheld the deceased’s identity pending notification of kin. Also, the authorities are still investigating if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision west of Aliso Canyon Road.
