1 Dead in Sacramento Multi-Vehicle Accident on 80 Freeway
SACRAMENTO, CA (October 23, 2019) – A 38-year-old motorcyclist died in a car accident on 80 Freeway on October 22.
At about 4:32 a.m., a westbound 2009 Kawasaki rider crashed with a 2012 Ford Fusion’s back on 80 Freeway near Antelope Scales.
The collision threw the rider of his motorcycle. The 38-year-old man and his motorcycle then landed in the number four lane, into the path of a big rig.
Unfortunately, the big rig driver couldn’t stop on time and crashed with the male rider. He died at the scene.
The sedan driver and the big rig driver didn’t suffer any injury.
Authorities shut down lanes two through five until 6:20 a.m. during the investigation. The police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
