35-Year-Old Azucena Ibarra Gonzalez Dies in Big Rig Crash on Bellevue Road [Merced County, CA]

Merced County, CA (March 15, 2022) – 35-year-old Azucena Ibarra Gonzalez lost her life in a big rig crash on Bellevue Road.

The authorities responded to the crash scene minutes past 7 a.m. at the intersection with Fox Road.

According to the investigators, Gonzalez was driving a westbound Chevrolet SUV with three male juveniles. 

Officers said the Chevrolet failed to stop at a stop and turned left at the intersection directly into the path of a northbound big rig hauling 79,000 pounds of chicken feed.

As a result, the semi-truck crashed with the Chevrolet’s driver-side door. 

Unfortunately, Gonzalez died at the scene.

The paramedics rushed the three juvenile male passengers to Valley Children’s Hospital. Officers say they sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate. They are all are expected to survive. 

On the other hand, the big rig driver did not sustain injuries from the collision.

Meanwhile, the authorities do not suspect drugs or alcohol as factors in the incident. Officers are still investigating.
