34-Year-Old Male Pedestrian Dies in Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard Accident [Vancouver, WA]

Vancouver, WA (August 25, 2021) – On Thursday, a 34-year-old male pedestrian lost his life in  Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard accident.

Responding officers arrived at the accident scene at 4:09 p.m. near the intersection with Vancouver Mall Drive.

Upon arrival, they discovered that an 82-year-old man was westbound on Fourth Plain Boulevard, approaching Vancouver Mall Drive.

The man lost control of his vehicle which drove up onto the sidewalk and back down.  The vehicle struck another vehicle waiting to turn north on Vancouver Mall Drive.

Then, it crossed Vancouver Mall Drive, went onto a traffic median, and hit the male pedestrian.

Officers said the driver remained at the crash scene and cooperated with their investigation.

Meanwhile, the department’s traffic unit is identifying whether impairment was a factor in the Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard accident.
