Jeremy Strong Apprehended in Wrong-Way DUI Crash on Interstate 5
Siskiyou, CA (April 04, 2021) On Thursday, Police arrested 34-year-old Jeremy Strong from Ashland OR, after a Wrong-Way/DUI crash on Interstate 5.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Strong, driving a Honda Odyssey threw a glass object at a CHP officer helping a motorist on Interstate 5 around 5 p.m.
Fortunately, the officer did not get hit by the object and was not hurt. Then, the officer got on his vehicle and chased Strong.
Meanwhile, the suspect used the Ditch Creek Off-Ramp to wrongfully exit the northbound side of Interstate 5.
Even so, the suspect continued his wrong-way driving, and several attempts to pull him over proved unsuccessful.
Ultimately, Strong hit a vehicle traveling northward south of Highway 96.
Shortly after, the suspect attempted to flee but concerned motorists stopped and detained him until the CHP are on the scene.

The suspect driver was booked into the Siskiyou County Jail. He is facing 6 charges including DUI causing injury; evading police and being a wrong-way driver; hit and run causing death or injury; battery; battery on a police officer or emergency personnel; and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
