33115 Mission Boulevard Accident Critically Injures Pedestrian [Union City, CA]

Union City, CA (March 17, 2023) – At around 8:11 a.m. on Wednesday, a pedestrian sustained injuries following a 33115 Mission Boulevard accident.

A driver struck a pedestrian south of a nearby Starbucks. Apparently, the said driver is the same person linked to a disturbance at Starbucks about half an hour earlier.

Reports said that at around 7:41 a.m., Union City police responded to Starbucks where a man was acting aggressively and showing erratic behaviour. The authorities tried to talk to the man, but he walked away from the establishment.

The authorities did not chase him because the man did not commit any crime. 

Minutes later, the man went back to that Starbucks. The police tried to speak with him but he walked away again.

Then, at 8:11 a.m., the officers responded to the pedestrian crash wherein the victim suffered critical injuries.

Officers said the driver remained at the scene of the accident and cooperated with the their investigation.
