Multiple Injuries Reported in 2-Car Collision on Fort Road and Becker Road
Yakama Nation, WA (March 29, 2022) On Monday, a 33-year-old woman, 3 adults, and 3 minors were hurt in a traffic collision on Fort Road.
The Yakama Nation Police (YNP) says that the tragic 2-car crash happened around 7:20 p.m. at the intersection of Fort Road and Becker Road.
Officials say that a red 2011 Mitsubishi Galant and a silver Ford Mustang collided at the northwest corner of the crossing.
Rescuers found a 33-year-old woman dead on the passenger side of the Mustang. While the 36-year-old driver and a 30-year-old passenger both sustained major injuries due to the crash.
Paramedics took both patients to Yakima Memorial Hospital via ambulance.
Police say that all women are Yakama Nation members.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old Toppenish man driving the Mitsubishi also sustained injuries and was taken to a Toppenish hospital.
Additionally, the man had 3 minors as passengers in his vehicle who was not seriously hurt.
Reports say that the northbound Mustang did not stop at a stop sign at Fort Road. Then a westward Mitsubishi hit the right front passenger door of the Mustang.
The YNP is investigating the crash.
