Menifee Man Dies in Horrific Traffic Crash on Interstate 10
Cabazon, CA (March 15, 2024) On Wednesday evening, 32-year-old Joseph Rios of Menifee was killed in a horrific 2-vehicle collision on Interstate 10.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened at about 6:30 p.m. on the westbound side of the I-10, west of Main Street.
Reports say that Rios was a passenger on a westbound white Hyundai Sonata that went off the road and crashed with a big rig after its driver attempted to correct the direction of the vehicle.
Authorities say that the collision caused the Hyundai to collide with a tree in a dirt field.
Rios was trasnported to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead about an hour later.
