Crash on Randall Avenue Kills Irene Jaramillo
Rialto, CA (April 2, 2022) – On Saturday, 31-year-old Aaron McDonald and 30-year-old Irene Jaramillo, both lost their lives in a DUI collision on Cedar Avenue.
It was about 1 a.m. when the incident started in Colton.
Officers said 24-year-old Alejandro Canchola of San Bernardino was driving a vehicle under the influence and almost struck a Colton police cruiser.
The authorities then started to chase the suspect as he led them through Interstate 10. The pursuit went on through Fontana and surrounding areas and ended at the intersection of Cedar Avenue and Randall Avenue.
Reports said Canchola’s vehicle ran a red light and collided with a vehicle wherein McDonald and Jaramillo were occupants. Canchola’s vehicle also struck a house in the area.
Immediately, the paramedics rushed McDonald and Jaramillo to a nearby hospital but they later succumbed to their injuries.
Moreover, the emergency rescuers transported Canchola and his passenger, 21-year-old Jose Castrocota to a hospital with moderate injuries.
Meanwhile, the authorities say that as soon as the hospital releases Canchola, he will be booked at a San Bernardino County jail for murder.
Luckily, no one in the house sustained injuries. However, the building’s structure was severely damaged and declared unstable.
Also, a 14-foot palm tree and the outdoor patio were completely wiped out by the oncoming vehicle.

Deadly DUI Collision
“Insurance companies will try to save money, even if it means not fully compensating a family for the wrongful death of a loved one. When a family retains an attorney immediately, it gives the family time to grieve their loss, and their attorney can start focusing on holding the negligent party accountable,” says Tyler Toomey, a practicing attorney at Sweet Lawyers.
