3-Year-Old Girl Killed in Interstate 70 Vehicle Crash [St. Louis, MO]

St. Louis, MO (July 26, 2024) – A 3-year-old was killed in an Interstate 70 vehicle crash Thursday morning.

It was about 8 a.m. when the fatal collision happened at Salisbury Street.

The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department officers said a Dodge Challenger was speeding and weaving in and out of traffic when it struck a big rig and overturned.

An unrestrained 3-year-old in the Challenger’s backseat was thrown in the collision. 

Right away, the child was rushed to a local hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. 

Moreover, a 22-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man in the Challenger were also transported in stable condition.

Debris from the big rig went into the express lanes which resulted in another collision involving three vehicles.

Troopers closed all eastbound lanes at the Grand Boulevard exit as they investigated.

The Dodge Challenger driver had not been charged as of Thursday night.
