3-Year-Old Girl Killed in Pedestrian Accident on SE 4th Street [Bellevue, WA]

Bellevue, WA (October 17, 2024) – A 3-year-old girl was killed in a pedestrian accident on SE 4th Street Tuesday night.

It was past 7 p.m. when the deadly traffic accident happened at an apartment complex in the 14100 block area.

Bellevue Police said a mother and her daughter were walking in the apartment complex while a 45-year-old man in a Chevy Silverado pickup truck was backing into a parking stall and struck the child. 

The mother was within 6 to 10 feet of the girl when the accident happened. 

The mother and the driver attempted life-saving efforts but the girl succumbed to her injuries at the scene. 

Troopers said the driver remained at the accident scene and cooperated with the investigation.  

Police officers are conducting a further investigation into the Bellevue traffic accident.
