Brutal 3-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 Injures 2 Pedestrian [Valencia, CA]

Valencia, CA (December 4, 2024) On Saturday afternoon, 2 pedestrians were hurt and hospitalized after a 3-vehicle crash on Interstate 5.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the disastrous crash happened at about 4:16 p.m. on southbound I-5, near Templin Highway.

Reports say that the car collision, that involved two vehicles on southbound Interstate 5, injured two pedestrians.

Authorities say that the initial crash occurred at approximately 4:16 p.m. and involved three vehicles, with no injuries initially reported. Pedestrians exited their vehicles and gathered on the right shoulder.

As traffic slowed following the crash, a Ford pickup truck traveling in the No. 1 lane lost control. The truck veered toward the right shoulder, colliding with a red SUV. Both vehicles then struck the pedestrians on the shoulder, leaving two injured.

Officials say that one of the pedestrians sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, while the condition of the second injured individual remains unclear. Updates regarding the airlifted patient’s condition are pending.
