Tragic 3-Vehicle Crash on Highway 41 Kills 11-Year-Old [Madera County, CA]

Madera County, CA (May 5, 2024) On Saturday afternoon, an 11-year-old child died and 6 others were hurt in a tragic 3-vehicle crash on Highway 41.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal collision happened around 5:38 p.m. on Highway 41, south of Road 406.

Reports say that the collision involved a cream-colored GMC Yukon, a silver Chevy Silverado, and a white Buick Enclave.

Officials say that the GMC veered off to the west side of the road and collision with a boulder, the impact of the crash caused the GMC to divert back to the road, crossing into the northbound lane.

The GMC eventually crashed with the Chevy causing the Buick, who was behind the Chevy to collide with the back of the Chevy.

Medics say that an 11-year-old passenger, sitting at the back of the GMC, was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, 6 others were hurt and hospitalized due to the horrific collision.

Authorities are investigating the tragic 3-vehicle collision.
