TxDOT Investigates Deadly 3-Car Crash near FM 1912

Amarillo, TX (March 7, 2023) – On Monday morning, a fatal 3-vehicle collision on Interstate 40 claimed the life of a person and injured another. 

Texas DPS reports that the deadly 3-car crash happened on westbound I-40 east of FM 1912 at about 6 a.m.

The collision involved a a pickup truck, a rental trailer towing a passenger car, and a drive away tow away.

TxDOT closed westbound I-40 for several hours due to the wreckage of the crash.

Meanwhile, authorities are investigating the fatal 3-vehicle collision and have not released additional information at this time.
