3 People Killed in Head-On Crash on South Riverside Avenue and Santa Ana Avenue [Rialto, CA]

Fatalities Reported in Rialto Box Truck Accident on South Riverside Avenue and Santa Ana Avenue

 
RIALTO, CA (June 29, 2021) – Monday morning, three people died in a head-on crash on South Riverside Avenue and Santa Ana Avenue.
 
The incident occurred at around 7:45 a.m. in the 2500 block of South Riverside Avenue. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found a 2020 Nissan Altima with a female driver and three passengers.
 
The authorities declared the driver and two of her passengers dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the third passenger sustained serious injuries. Responders took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
 
At this time, the identities and information about the victims weren’t disclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Meanwhile, the people in two other vehicles involved in the collision suffered no injuries.
 
According to the investigations, a Dodge Ram drove south on Riverside Avenue in the left lane, south of Santa Ana Avenue. Then, a speeding Nissan Altima behind it veered and clipped the rear end of the truck.
 
Afterward, the Altima veered left, went across the northbound Riverside Avenue traffic, and collided head-on with a box truck.
 
The authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the Rialto police’s traffic bureau at (909) 421-4981.
