2 US Customs and Border Protection Officers Hurt in San Diego Accident on Siempre Viva Road

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 27, 2021) – Wednesday afternoon, three people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Siempre Viva Road and Las Californias Drive.
 
The incident occurred just before 4:20 p.m., San Diego police Officer Darius Jamsetjee revealed. Moreover, it occurred on Siempre Viva Road and Las Californias Drive. It transpired near the Otay Mesa Cross Border Xpress pedestrian bridge to Tijuana International Airport.
 
At this time, the circumstances that have led up to the crash remain unclear. However, the authorities revealed that the crash involved a pickup and SUV, with one of the cars T-boning the other.
 
Responders transported three people to hospitals with minor injuries.
 
Meanwhile, a Customs and Border Protection spokeswoman revealed that two officers were on duty and in their agency vehicle when the crash happened.
 
Also, radio traffic from a medic confirmed that the two officers, a female driver, and a male front passenger, were not certain whether they lost consciousness during the collision. However, both of them managed to go out of the vehicle when medics came.
 
The passenger suffered pain in one of his knees. Meanwhile, the driver complained of neck pain.
