3 Hurt in Sun Valley Fiery Multi-Vehicle Accident on 5 Freeway at Hollywood Way

 
SUN VALLEY, CA (February 4, 2021) – Wednesday morning, three people sustained injuries in a three-vehicle crash on 5 Freeway at Hollywood Way.
 
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Ramondo Alexander, the fiery incident involved three vehicles. Moreover, it happened on 5 Freeway at Hollywood Way was reported at around 7:00 a.m.
 
Responding firefighters began extinguishing the fire on a minivan. Meanwhile, other responders extricated a man trapped in a different vehicle, Fire Department spokesperson Nicholas Prange said. There was no one inside the minivan as it burns, Prange added.
 
Also, reports revealed that two people already freed themselves from their vehicles before responders arrived.
 
Moreover, paramedics transported a woman in fair condition and two men in moderate condition to a hospital.
 
Furthermore, authorities advised everyone to avoid the area and to find alternate routes.
 
Officers said that almost all southbound lanes were closed due to the crash.
 
The incident is under investigation.
