Injuries Sustained in Riverside County Traffic Incident on Highway 74 near Mountain Center

 
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (April 12, 2021) – Saturday morning, three people sustained injuries after a head-on crash on Highway 74 near Mountain Center.
 
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident involved two sedans. Moreover, it happened at around 11:15 a.m. on westbound Highway 74 in the area of the 74/243 interchange.
 
Furthermore, responders from Riverside County Fire Department transported one person via helicopter to a hospital with critical injuries. Paramedics also said that two more victims sustained minor injuries in the crash.
 
CHP closed westbound Highway 74 to give way to responders and investigation.
 
Also, it is still unknown how long it would take to clear the wreckage from the head-on collision.
