3 People Hurt in North Lidgerwood Street Hit-and-Run Accident [Spokane, WA]

East Wellesley Avenue Hit-and-Run Crash Sent 2 People to the Hospital

Spokane, WA (April 08, 2022) On Thursday, 3 people were injured in a hit-and-run accident on North Lidgerwood Street.

The Spokane Police (SPD) says the traffic crash happened at the intersection of North Lidgerwood Street and East Wellesley Avenue around 11 a.m.

Reports say that the suspect driver did not yield to police, but instead drove south on N. Lidgerwood at a high speed.

Officials say that the suspect ran past 2 stop signs and crashed with another vehicle at the intersection of North Lidgerwood and East Empire Avenue.

Afterward, the suspect crashed into a power pole and then ended up in a neighbor’s yard.

Authorities say that the suspect left the crash and fled the scene, leaving 2 passengers behind.

Rescuers took both passengers to the hospital who sustained injuries. Meanwhile, the motorist on the vehicle the suspect struck sustained minor injuries as well.

SPD Major Crimes is investigating the crash and are actively seeking the suspect.
