Injuries Reported in Cedar Township Auto Accident on Route Y near Clinkenbeard Road

CEDAR TOWNSHIP, MO (November 20, 2024) – Monday night, a startling traffic crash on Route Y near Clinkenbeard Road hurt 3 people.

The incident happened at 10:08 p.m. when a 2020 Ford Fusion traveled east on Route Y near Clinkebeard Road.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) reported that a Ford veered off the right side of the road. Then, it hit a guardrail and returned to the roadway before overturning onto its left side. The vehicle came to a stop, blocking the eastbound lane.

A 35-year-old woman from California, Mo., sustained moderate injuries, while a 12-year-old girl from the same city had minor injuries. Also, a 56-year-old man was severely injured in the crash. All three were taken to University Hospital for medical care.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
