3 Dead in Stockton Multi-Vehicle Accident on State Route 12 and Peatland Road

 
STOCKTON, CA (May 17, 2022) – Friday afternoon, three people died in a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 12 and Peatland Road.
 
The incident happened at around 4:19 p.m. on State Route 12 and Peatland Road.
 
According to reports, a 2013 Hyundai Elantra headed east on State Route 12, east of Peatland Road. Some witnesses revealed that the car traveled at 100 mph as it moved to the dirt and grovel shoulder.
 
Then, a 28-year-old Oakland woman driving the car lost control of the vehicle. It veered into the shoulder and swerved back into the eastbound lane. Afterward, it crashed with a 2012 Honda Pilot.
 
As a result, both cars were pushed into the westbound lane, causing another crash with a 2001 Toyota Camry.
 
When the Camry stalled due to the crash, the other two vehicles rolled over onto the roof of their vehicles. Then, it skidded into a ditch of water.
 
After the crash, responders declared the Elantra driver and two men from the Pilot. One of them was 25 while the other was 30-years-old.
 
Moreover, the 41-year-old male Pilot driver from Stockton sustained moderate injuries. Meanwhile, the 38-year-old Camry driver from Rio Vista suffered minor injuries.
 
Responders took both of them to San Joaquin General Hospital.
 
Also, a 25-year-old male passenger from Stockton sustained minor injuries.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t confirmed whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
