GRANADA HILLS, CA (May 16, 2022) – Saturday night, three people died in a DUI crash on 118 Freeway and 405 Interchange transition road.
 
The incident occurred just before midnight on 118 Freeway at the 405 interchange transition road.
 
According to reports, a Glendale man driving a Mercedes coupe veered into a Mercedes sedan. Reports confirmed that the sedan stopped in the far right lane of the southbound 405 transition road. However, the officers haven’t determined why the vehicle was stopped.
 
Meanwhile, the sedan struck a wall and had caught fire. Meanwhile, the Mercedes coupe went on the 118 Freeway where it blocked all lanes.
 
Officers confirmed that the three occupants of the Mercedes sedan died at the scene. At this time, their identity remains undisclosed due to pending family notification.
 
Furthermore, responders took the Glendale man to the hospital with major injuries. The authorities investigated him on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
