Three People Hospitalized after 2-Car Collision near Sports Arena Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, CA (July 28, 2018) – Three people were injured Saturday morning following a wrong-way crash on Rosecrans Street.
According to San Diego Police, the incident happened at about 9:40 AM in the area of Rosecrans Street and Sports Arena Boulevard. A 2004 Toyota Camry was traveling south when it veered into the northbound lanes and collided with a 2011 Hyundai Sonata.
The 90-year-old man driving the Camry was transported to a hospital after suffering from a fractured hip. His passengers – an 84-year-old man and an 85-year-old woman – were reportedly unharmed. The driver of the Sonata sustained a laceration to his head, while his passenger suffered a ruptured spleen. They were also taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation.
