Montgomery County 2-Vehicle Crash Results in Injuries
Montgomery County, MO (December 26, 2024) – Three people were hurt in a vehicle crash on Highway 19 Monday evening.
The two-vehicle collision happened before 6 p.m. south of Highway 94.
MSHP officers said a car driven by a 21-year-old Kirksville woman was northbound when she overcorrected as she was falling asleep while driving.
The vehicle crossed the center line and struck the driver’s side of a southbound SUV driven by a 26-year-old Foley man.
Afterward, the SUV went off the right side of the road while the car went off the left side of the road and overturned.
The SUV driver and a passenger, a 58-year-old man, also from Foley, were taken to Mercy Hospital in Washington with moderate injuries.
The car driver was also taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.
Investigators said the car driver was wearing a seat belt but the SUV occupants were not.
