According to Springfield police, the horrific collision happened at about 2:30 a.m. on the James River Freeway from Campbell Avenue.

Reports say that 3 individuals sustained serious injuries in a Springfield crash early Saturday morning.

Police say that a northbound vehicle then struck the turning car.

The impact ejected two passengers from the southbound car, with one of them subsequently being run over by a third vehicle traveling southbound.
