Suspects Arrested after Stolen Car Crash on Gage Avenue in Florence

Florence, CA (February 16, 2023) – Thursday night, three people, including an innocent victim sustained injuries in a crash on Gage Avenue involving a stolen car.

The crash in Florence happened around 7:40 p.m. on February 16.

LAPD said the collision involved a stolen black GMC pickup truck and another vehicle near the intersection of Gage Avenue and San Pedro Street.

Reportedly, the driver of a stolen black GMC pickup truck fled at a high rate of speed after officers attempted a traffic stop in the area of Florence Avenue and Main Street.

The suspect vehicle was traveling northbound on San Pedro Street when the driver ran a red light and collided with the victim’s vehicle on Gage Avenue.

EMS rushed the female driver to a hospital in unknown condition.

Two suspects from the stolen pursuit vehicle were arrested and taken to the hospital as well.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
