Subsequently, police arrested the 28-year-old Stephanie Berkell Montoya of Chula Vista.

The incident took place before 5 PM.

The Daily Pilot News said Montoya was driving a vehicle southbound on Pearl Street. She approached the South Coast Highway junction and allowed the vehicle to swerved off the roadway. Just then, her car struck two parked vehicles on the west side of the road.

Montoya’s car flipped over to its roof due to the impact of the crash. Responding teams found her vehicle at rest in the middle of two southbound lanes.

Montoya also received treatment for non-fatal injuries she sustained from the crash. After being medically cleared, the authorities arrested Montoya on suspicion of a felony DUI causing injury, child endangerment, a felony hit and run, driving with a suspended license and DUI while on probation for a DUI.
