Three Men Hospitalized after a Crash on Springview Road in Wynola

 
Wynola, CA (April 15, 2021) – Thursday morning, three men sustained injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Springview Road.
 
The Wynola crash happened at about 8:15 a.m. on April 15.
 
According to CHP reports, a westbound 1995 Chevrolet pickup veered to the left across a set of double yellow lines west of Springview Road for unclear reasons and sideswiped an oncoming 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe.
 
The impact then sent the SUV careening off the south side of the roadway, where it went down an embankment and crashed into a tree. The truck spun out on the asphalt, coming to rest in the eastbound lane.
 
Emergency crews airlifted the pickup driver, a Julian resident, 71, to Palomar Medical Center to treat significant head trauma and evaluate complaints of pain in his chest and legs.
 
Meanwhile, an ambulance crew treated a Temecula man, 63, driving the SUV and his passenger, a Carlsbad resident, 62, at the scene for minor injuries.
 
All three involved were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
 
Moreover, police said neither driver was believed to have been intoxicated.
