3 Injured in Rollover Crash on Interstate 8 [El Cajon, CA]

El Cajon, CA (July 9, 2024) – Three people have been injured in a rear-end crash on Interstate 8 Monday.

The two-vehicle crash unfolded on the eastbound freeway near the on-ramp at Mollison Avenue.

Troopers said a car rear-ended the other and one of the cars lost control. That car went down a slope and landed upside down in a backyard on Ednabelle Court.

Three people were riding in the overturned car and all of them were transported to an area hospital with moderate-to-severe but non-life-threatening injuries while none from the other vehicle was hurt.

Investigators believe speeding played a role in the collision.
