Injuries Reported in Hollywood Accident on Sunset and Van Ness Avenue
HOLLYWOOD, CA (September 8, 2021) – Tuesday morning, three people sustained injuries in a police chase crash on Sunset and Van Ness Avenue.
According to Officer Lizeth Lomeli of the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident started at around 2:24 a.m. Reports said that officers spotted a stolen vehicle near the intersection of Gower Street and Afton Avenue. Then, they started chasing the vehicle. Just a minute later, the vehicle struck two vehicles near the intersection of Sunset and Van Ness Avenue.
The authorities said that the stolen vehicle was a gray Dodge Challenger.
Furthermore, officers immediately draw their firearms at the suspect inside the vehicle.
Moreover, responders transported the male driver and a female passenger to the hospital.
Meanwhile, officials confirmed that they arrested the male driver.
