3 Injured in Police Chase Crash on North State Street [Boyle Heights, CA]

Reckless Driver Arrested after Police Pursuit near Sheridan Street

BOYLE HEIGHTS, CA (September 3, 2018) – Three people were hospitalized following a police chase crash on North State Street.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident took place shortly before 7:30 PM in the 800 block of North State Street, near Sheridan Street. Responding deputies noticed a man driving recklessly before the pursuit was initiated.

Moments later, the driver crashed into another vehicle. The suspect received treatment before he was arrested, while his female passenger was hospitalized. A man and a woman in the second vehicle were also taken to a hospital after sustaining unspecified injuries. Neither person’s current medical condition is known at this time.

An investigation is ongoing to determine liability and to identify possible contributing factors. In addition, authorities suspect that the vehicle may have been stolen. There were no further details provided to the public.
