Building Damaged after Vehicle Plows into Bank near Naples Street
CHULA VISTA, CA (November 20, 2018) – Three people were injured late Tuesday morning after a pickup truck crashes into bank on Broadway. The identities of the victims were not disclosed to the public.
As per reports, the incident happened near Naples Street, shortly after 11:30 AM. For unknown reasons, a Dodge Ram smashed into the Chase bank branch office in the 1100 block of Broadway.
An elderly man inside the bank suffered unspecified injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and evaluation. Two bank employees were thrown from their desks, causing minor injuries. Medics treated the injured employees at the scene before transporting one of them to a hospital for further evaluation. Updates on their current medical conditions were not provided.
The Dodge driver remained at the site of the crash and cooperated with investigators. Alcohol and drugs were ruled out as possible contributing factors in the collision, which remains under investigation. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
