LODI, CA (August 20, 2019) – Three people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 99 on August 19.
 
According to reports, a speeding garbage truck caused the five-vehicle crash. The Stockton CHP revealed that traffic was at a stop when a Waste Management truck driver couldn’t control his brake in time. As a result, the garbage truck hit a pickup truck in front of him.
 
Officers added that the initial impact also affected three more cars.
 
The vehicles sustained major damage while responders transported the injured people to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 
The incident didn’t block any lanes of traffic.
