One Hospitalized after 3-Car Collision in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (September 7, 2019) – On Saturday afternoon, three people suffered injuries in a multi-car accident on Palm Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 4:36 PM on Ashlan Avenue. Sheriffs reported a 20-year-old female driving a red Chevy Avail traveling westbound on Palm. The Avail failed to stop and struck a Mini Cooper driven by a 43-year-old female. As a result, the Chevy spun out and hit a Ford Explorer.
First responders stated the Mini Cooper driver suffered major injuries. Due to her wounds she was taken to Community Regional Medical Center. The driver of the Ford was not injured. However, the Chevy driver and her 19-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries. Their current medical condition is unknown at this time.
Police did not release the identity of the victim to the public.
The avenues closed for a brief time while crews worked to clean the scene. Police did not release any other information at this time. An investigation is still ongoing to determine further details.
