3 Hurt in Bay Terraces Motorcycle Accident
BAY TERRACES, CA (January 14, 2019) – Three people suffered injuries after two separate motorcycle crashes on January 13 in Bay Terraces.
The first collision occurred about 12:10 p.m. when a 29-year-old motorcyclist traveling south on South Woodman Street crashed to a 51-year-old man in a Honda CR- V who tried to make a left turn from Doriana Street in front of the oncoming biker.
As a result, the motorcycle rider was thrown off from his bike and sustained a fractured pelvis and lower right arm fracture.
After two hours, after 2:00 p.m., another collision occurred between a biker and a car near the intersection of South Woodman Street and Alta View Drive. This crash is just less than a mile south of the earlier incident.
According to San Diego Fire Battalion Chief Rick Ballard, two people were transported to a hospital as a result of the second collision. However, it was clarified that none of the injured suffered serious or life-threatening injuries.
