Ocean Beach, CA (May 22, 2024) – Three people have been injured following a motorcycle crash on Voltaire Street Tuesday afternoon.

Officers said a 42-year-old male motorcycle driver with a 38-year-old female passenger was westbound on a 2024 BMW motorcycle.

At the same time, a 49-year-old man in a 2016 Honda CR-V was also westbound on Voltaire Street.

The Honda driver stopped at the stop sign at Bacon Street but the motorcycle rider failed to stop and rear-ended the Honda.

As a result, the motorcycle’s female passenger was ejected and sustained an open pelvic fracture and large cut to her scalp.

The motorcyclist incurred severe burns after his motorcycle caught fire. He sustained be life-threatening injuries.

Officers said the Honda driver complained of back pain due to the collision.
