Darian Ocampo and 2 Others Hospitalized After Crash on Skyway in Paradise

Paradise, CA (December 19, 2024) – Darian Ocampo and two others sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Skyway.

The Paradise Police Department (PPD) reported that a two-vehicle collision on the Skyway on Wednesday, Dec. 18, caused injuries. 

The crash occurred around 3:50 p.m. near Adventist Health.

According to police, a southbound Toyota truck collided with a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Magalia resident Darian Ocampo. 

Investigators said Ocampo’s vehicle exited the medical center directly into the path of the Toyota truck, leading to the collision. 

Police suspect Ocampo of driving under the influence at the time of the crash.

The impact caused both vehicles to veer off the roadway, with Ocampo’s vehicle overturning. 

Emergency responders extricated Ocampo from the overturned vehicle and transported him to a nearby hospital. 

Two of the four occupants in the Toyota truck also sustained injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

PPD stated that the case is being forwarded to the Butte County District Attorney’s office for prosecution.
