3 Hurt in Old Edna Car Crash on Price Canyon Road
OLD EDNA, CA (September 24, 2019) – Three people sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Price Canyon Road on September 19.
The emergency crews came to the scene on Price Canyon Road and Highway 227 near Old Edna on Thursday after 3:00 p.m.
The CAL FIRE SLO revealed that two engines came to the scene and ambulances are on the way. According to CAL FIRE SLO officials, three people sustained injuries. Two people had moderate injuries while one person suffered minor injuries.
Responders extricated both drivers of the vehicles.
According to first responders, traffic stalled in the area with the southbound lane of 227 blocked, as well as part of the northbound lane. The CHP directed the traffic around the crash, using the shoulder. By 4:00 p.m., all lanes of Highway 227 reopened.
Authorities also added that the incident happened when a white Lexus drove over the double yellow lines and struck a green Toyota Highlander.
The driver of the Lexus solely occupied vehicle. However, the Highlander has two occupants.
