3 Hurt in Santa Barbara Car Accident
SANTA BARBARA, CA (January 14, 2019) – Three people sustained critical injuries after a head-on car crash on Highway 154 near Santa Barbara.
According to fire Capt. Dave Zaniboni, the collision between two sedans happened at around 1:30 a.m. a quarter mile west of San Antonio Creek Road. Zaniboni added that the firefighters utilized an extensive extrication to free two victims from one of the sedans.
Meanwhile, the second car caught fire but the sole occupant was able to take off from the vehicle.
There three people who all sustained major injuries were transported by AMR ambulances to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. However, their identities are still unavailable.
As a result, Highway 154 was shut down for more than an hour. The crash is still being investigated by the CHP.
