3 People Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road [Marin County, CA]

Injuries Reported in Marin County Accident on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road and Nicasio Valley Road

 
MARIN COUNTY, CA (February 28, 2022) – Saturday afternoon, three people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road.
 
The crash happened at about noon on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road and Nicasio Valley Road.
 
CHP-Marin Area officers, CHP’s Golden Gate Division Air Operations, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, and Marin County Fire Department all came to the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Corvette headed west on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road. Then, the driver tried to pass three slower-moving vehicles at one-time at a high rate of speed.
 
Meanwhile, a Toyota pick-up truck at the front of the pack tried to turn left into a dirt parking area. Unfortunately, the Corvette driver didn’t see the truck turning left.
 
As a result, the Chevrolet’s front crashed into the left side of the Toyota. As a result, the truck flipped and three Toyota occupants sustained minor to moderate injuries. Responders transported all three of them to the hospital. Meanwhile, the Corvette driver suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.
 
According to the initial investigation, drugs and/or alcohol didn’t play a role in the crash. Moreover, authorities will cite the Corvette driver for the unsafe driving maneuver.
