Injuries Reported in Longview Auto Accident near 26th Avenue and Industrial Way
LONGVIEW, WA (September 20, 2022) – Monday morning, three people suffered injuries in a rollover crash near 26th Avenue and Industrial Way.
The incident occurred just before 8:30 a.m. near 26th Avenue and Industrial Way.
According to reports, an SUV rolled several times and landed upside down in a drainage slough near 26th Avenue on Industrial Way.
Longview Police, Cowlitz County Sheriff, and Longview Fire both responded. Upon their arrival, they found several bystanders attempting to rescue the occupants of the submerged SUV.
Meanwhile, bystanders managed to rescue a newborn and a 5-year-old from the SUV. Also, an adult managed to exit.
Also, another adult remained trapped in the SUV and law enforcement utilized a wench on a police SUV to roll the vehicle.
At around 8:40 a.m., firefighters confirmed that the driver had died.
