3 Hospitalized in Car Crash in Santa Rosa
SANTA ROSA, CA (January 2, 2019) – On Wednesday morning around 10:00 AM, three people were injured in a two car collision on Highway 12 near Bennett Valley Road.
According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, a SUV was traveling east on the highway onto Bennett Valley Road when a sedan driver crashed through a barricade. Due to the collision of the impact, it threw the SUV onto its roof.
The Santa Rosa Fire Department stated that they extracted the woman in the sedan, she suffered major injuries. A man and woman who were in the SUV were able to get out on their own and sustained minor injuries. They were all transported to a nearby hospital and their current medical conditions are unclear at this time.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released to the public.
There has been no further information released regarding the circumstance leading up to the incident at this time. It is unknown if alcohol and drugs were contributing factors in the accident.
