Three Hospitalized after Redding Car Accident on Victor Avenue
REDDING, CA (July 10, 2019) – On Wednesday afternoon, three people sustained injuries in a car accident on Victor Avenue. Police did not release the victims’ identity to the public.
According to the Redding Police Department, the crash happened around 5:00 PM near Vega Street. Law enforcement stated a minivan drove north Victor Avenue while a white vehicle attempted to make a left turn onto Vega Street. As a result, the minivan and the white vehicle collided.
First responders arrived at the scene shortly after. The driver of the white car, as well as the driver and passenger from the minivan, suffered minor injuries. They were all taken to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation. However, their current medical condition is unknown at this time.
Officers issued a citation to the driver of the white car for attempting to make an unsafe turn. Authorities do not believe drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the accident.
The surrounding area closed for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. Police did not announce further details regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
