Sheriff’s Deputy Involved in Redding Crash on State Route 299E near Churn Creek
REDDING, CA (January 12, 2022) – Tuesday night, three people suffered injuries in an auto accident on State Route 299E near Churn Creek.
The crash happened at about 9:30 p.m. when an eastbound pickup truck traveled in the #2 lane of State Route 299E. Then, for reasons still unknown, the truck lost electric power and lights.
Meanwhile, a Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputy also headed east on State Route 299E in the #2 lane. According to the deputy, he didn’t notice the stalled pickup truck because it has no lights. Thus, the crash happened and both vehicles came to a stop in the #1 lane.
