3 Injured in 2-Vehicle Collision on Highway 1 [Bodega Bay, CA]

Bodega Bay, CA (June 13, 2023) – On Sunday, a driver and two passengers were injured following a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 1.

Officers said that at about 4 p.m., a MINI Countryman driver that was southbound on Highway 1 turned right onto Doran Park Road. The driver then swung left to get back on the freeway the opposite direction.

The Dodge pickup truck driver traveling behind the Countryman attempted to prevent the MINI by swerving left but hit the Countryman’s front passenger side.

The truck which was carrying a family of six drove off the road and slammed into a tree.

Immediately, the paramedics took its driver to a hospital with major injuries along with two passengers who sustained minor injuries.

The MINI driver and two passengers were not injured in the collision.

Officers said both vehicles sustained major damage.

CHP investigators stated that the Bodega Bay vehicle crash was caused by the MINI.
