3 Killed in Merced County Accident on Santa Fe Drive near Franklin Road
MERCED COUNTY, CA (August 8, 2022) – Sunday morning, three people died in a wrong-way crash on Santa Fe Drive near Franklin Road.
According to CHP Sgt. Danny Bowen, the incident happened at around 5:55 a.m. Moreover, it occurred on Santa Fe Drive, west of Franklin Road.
Reports revealed that a Jeep Patriot and a 2017 Nissan Rogue collided. Then, CHP said that one of the vehicles crossed into the oncoming lanes and collided with another vehicle.
Moreover, responders pronounced the 34-year-old male driver of the Jeep and his 34-year-old female passenger, dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the 38-year-old female driver of the Nissan also died in the collision.
Furthermore, officers released no additional information about the crash as of this time.
