Three People Hospitalized after Small Plane Accident on El Rancho Escondido Road

CATALINA ISLAND, CA (July 25, 2018) – Three people were critically injured Wednesday morning, following a small plane crash at Catalina Airport.

As per reports, the accident took place shortly after 9:30 AM. A single-engine Piper PA32 went off the runway after landing on El Rancho Escondido Road. Events that led to the crash were not immediately disclosed.

Paramedics, along with the Los Angeles County Fire Department, arrived at the scene to render aid to the victims. A total of three people were airlifted to hospitals where they were listed in critical condition. Their identities and cities of residence were not immediately released.

An investigation will be conducted by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board. No further details have been provided to the public at this time.
