Multiple People Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 243
Grant County, WA (December 31, 2023) On Friday evening, a 3-car DUI collision on Highway 243 left 7 people hurt and hospitalized.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the multi-vehicle crash happened around 8 p.m. on Highway 243, 13 miles north of Mattawa.
Reports say that a southbound car crossed onto the opposite lane and crashed into a northbound vehicle, the impact of the crash, sent the struck vehicle to roll over, in turn caused another northbound car to drive into an embankment.
Medics transported a total of 7 people to the hospital.
WSP is investigating the 3-car crash and have crashed the southbound driver with vehicular assault, officials say that cause of the crash was DUI.
