Three Hospitalized after Two-vehicle Crash on U.S Highway 101
Mason County, WA (August 23, 2020) – Saturday evening, three people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on U.S Highway 101.
The incident happened at around 6:20 p.m. on August 22. Dispatched officers located a Dodge Charger and a Honda Civic on the scene.
Police say a Honda Civic was attempting a left turn onto southbound U.S. Highway 101 from Eagle Point Drive, about 6 miles north of Shelton. Then a Dodge Charger heading north on the highway, approaching Eagle Point Drive.
However, the Honda Civic failed to stop and collided with the Dodge Charger.
The occupants of Honda Civic identified only as a 30-year-old Bremerton man and a 21-year-old Bremerton woman sustained injuries, as well as the Dodge driver from Hoodsport, a 79-year old man. All were flown to Seattle hospital.
Moreover, the 70-year-old female passenger in the Dodge Charger was aided for an injury and released, and a 2-year-old boy in the Honda Civic was not injured.
Further investigation is ongoing.
